High-level committee review law & order in Karachi

A High level ministerial committee has reviewed law and order situation in Karachi.

As per details, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Interior Minister Rehman Malik jointly presided over the meeting held at Sindh CM house on Monday.

Sindh provincial ministers Agha Siraj Durrani, Dr. Saghir Ahmad and Raza Haroon attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the problems of committee was discussed and the members of the ministerial committee was increased to six, Agha Siraj Durrani will be head of the committee, while the 3-3 from PPP and MQM will be taken for membership of the committee.

The committee would hold meeting weekly to review law and order situation and it would send its recommendations to Sindh CM for further action.

It was also decided in the meeting that a taskforce under chair of DIG Police will be set up for the help of the committee and the taskforce will send it report to IG Police Sindh who will send his recommendations to Sindh CM.

The committee also suggested that to take strict action against the criminals.
